Longlite

Headquartered in Switzerland, Longlite is a pioneer in the field of photoluminescence, with an expertise in developing trademark photoluminescent lighting safety systems. Longlite retained GBPR to help with the introduction of a new energy-saving incandescent light bulb into the U.S. market. GBPR created a multi-faceted public relations campaign designed to promote the introduction of the product to local and trade media, and also worked to arrange meetings with prospective clients to introduce and answer questions about Longlite’s sophisticated technology.

Pitney Bowes

Pitney Bowes is a $5.4 billion global provider of software, hardware and services that integrate physical and digital communications channels. In 2004, Pitney Bowes’ brand reputation, built during 90 years of market leadership, did not accurately reflect its expanded and evolving capabilities. The company asked GBPR to work with them to increase the company’s new capabilities among key national audiences. GBPR successfully articulated Pitney Bowes’ full range of capabilities by providing a comprehensive communications plan in support of that objective.

Rand-Whitney

Rand-Whitney is a family-owned, independent leader in the manufacturing of protective packaging products, thermal technologies and related graphic services in the Northeast. During the course of prolonged litigation between Rand-Whitney and the town of Montville, CT, GBPR designed a communications campaign articulating the merits of Rand-Whitney’s position in the case. GBPR’s plan generated a clear and broader public appreciation of the company’s importance to the community as an established employer, significant taxpayer, environmentally responsible manufacturer and good corporate citizen.

Rapor

Rapor, GBPR’s first client, reached out to the agency for assistance in promoting its security access support systems following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Rapor’s goal was to distinguish itself from its competitors during a period when many companies were promoting emerging technology that increased security in public and private buildings. GBPR implemented a sustained, integrated communications campaign, including arranging a tradeshow on Capitol Hill allowing Rapor to showcase its security technology in front of members of Congress. Resulting media coverage of Rapor included reports in USA Today and CNN.

Unilever

Unilever is the manufacturer of 400 brands of consumer products, including trusted name brands like Lipton, Knorr, Dove, Pond’s, Vaseline and Suave. Unilever called upon GBPR for help in addressing public concern regarding the discharge of waste water into the Hammonasset River. To address this concern, GBPR developed a detailed communications, media relations and public affairs campaign to manage Unilever’s response to unfounded criticism about the management and discharge of waste water. This campaign helped to forge a successful resolution of differences between the company, the State of Connecticut and a group of concerned environmental advocates.
