50 children were pleasantly surprised on Saturday, June 7, with brand new bikes, helmets and a day of play at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton! All thanks to Barnum Financial Group’s Foundation for Life, First Niagara Bank and Griffin Hospital.
The children are ages 6-11 and from TEAM INC, United Way of Coastal Fairfield County and the Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Resource Center. The surprise included three hours of free play for the kids and families including mini golf, laser tag, bowling and batting cages… then the kids were surprised with new bikes! Every child’s dream!
Children receiving the bicycles were selected for the surprise event with help from local organizations including TEAM INC, the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County and the Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Resource Center.
