Connecticut Innovations, the state’s quasi-public authority responsible for technology-based innovation, is accepting applications from entrepreneurial teams to participate in the fall TechStart Accelerator Program. The application deadline is Aug. 15.

The $1 million initiative was made possible by funding provided in the state Jobs Bill that was passed last fall.

The first program ran this spring, with more than 80 applicants competing for nine spots. Entrepreneurial teams were provided $25,000 in initial capital and focused mentoring for the three-month program, which ended with teams pitching their innovations to angel and venture capital investors.

The new program will be held in New Haven from mid-September through mid-December.
