Pierson & Smith, a division of First Niagara Risk Management, Inc., the insurance subsidiary of First Niagara Financial Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: FNFG), recently named Phil Boyle as a Sales Producer for Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
Boyle, who brings more than 18 years of insurance experience to this position, joins First Niagara from The Health Consultants Group, LLC. In his current position, he is responsible for opening up the mid and large group employee benefits market for Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
Boyle serves on the Connecticut Healthcare Cabinet, appointed by Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy for a three-year term. He also serves the Business Plan Work Group, as convened by the Healthcare Cabinet, and Brokers, Agents and Navigators Advisory Committee to the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange Board of Directors. Boyle was the only broker in the state to present to the Exchange Working Grant Committee on the effects the Healthcare Reform law has on businesses in Connecticut.
Boyle earned a bachelor’s degree from Marist College and holds life and health licenses in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.
Active in the community, Boyle serves as a board member for several charitable organizations such as the Geno Auriemma Fore the Kids Charity Golf Committee and Holy Family Retreat Center. He also volunteers for the American Cancer Society‘s Relay for Life and Coaches for Cancer events.
Boyle resides in Farmington with his wife Deb and their three children.
