Student artwork from Sacred Heart University’s Department of Art & Design will be on display at The Watermark at 3030 Park through April 11.

The public is invited to an opening reception at the retirement community’s art gallery on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. Vocalist and keyboard player Gary Andreadis will perform at the event.

“The opportunity for young artists to exhibit outside of the university is always an exciting experience,” said Nathan Lewis, assistant professor of art at SHU. “The Watermark at 3030 Park has always supported our program and students, and we are thrilled to exhibit again at the community.”

This is the third time that student artists from SHU have displayed at The Watermark at 3030 Park. In 2010 and 2011, the community partnered with SHU for similar exhibits.

The Watermark at 3030 Park’s art gallery is open to the public Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
