Bridgeport, CT – The artwork of resident Carol Cole Manasevit is on display at the The Watermark at 3030 Park senior living community, 3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.
In her new untitled collection, Manasevit uses acrylic paint on canvas and paper to express elements of color and light in nature. One of her paintings entitled, “Peace” was selected as a finalist and featured in the 2014 edition of Watermark Expressions, a national calendar contest celebrating active aging and the arts.
“Carol is an outstanding artist and one of the many individuals in our community who thrives each day by continuing their life’s passions,” said Tracy-Ann Samuel, Community Life Director at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “We are pleased to recognize Carol’s artwork in this exhibit and share it with residents and guests.”
Carol received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University School of Fine and Applied Art. She has also studied at the Art Students League of New York and been exhibited at the Museum of Arts, Science and Industry in Chicago. Before retiring to focus on her painting, Carol worked as a graphic artist and fashion illustrator in her hometown of Fairfield.
This exhibit will be on display until April 30. It is free of charge and will be open to the public from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. For more information, contact The Watermark at 3030 Park at 203-374-5611.
