The Watermark at 3030 Park has launched CARES, a monthly support group designed to help people, who are living with memory loss issues such as Alzheimer’s or dementia, and their caregivers.

The first meeting will be held on Monday, March 10, at 11 a.m. It is free and open to the public.

CARES will be led by Anne Denicola, a social worker from VITAS Innovative Hospice Care in Stratford. Each month’s meeting will feature a different topic related to memory loss in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment. March’s meeting will be an introduction to the support group, with participants sharing ideas for future meeting topics.

“Memory loss is an ever-present and increasing issue facing many seniors and their families,” said Edward Roman, executive director at The Watermark. “Through our support groups, and through our memory care living community, we hope people in the greater Bridgeport area will view The Watermark as an innovative expert and resource in the field of memory care.”
