The Institute of Technology and Business Development (ITBD) plays a vital role in supporting businesses and other organizations across Connecticut. ITBD offers a wide range of services, from small business development and manufacturing process improvement, to government procurement assistance and conferencing services. Through its programs, ITBD provides start-up companies with the chance to succeed, and established firms with enhanced employee skills and operating processes. When ITBD wanted to more effectively articulate its offerings to prospective clients, they turned to GBPR. Working with ITBD’s leadership, GBPR conducted a communications audit in order to help the institute hone its messages. Following in-depth interviews with ITDB leadership and senior staff, GBPR crafted messages that reflected ITBD’s unique role in supporting businesses and entrepreneurs. GBPR then developed a new brochure for ITBD for use when visiting prospective clients, meeting with industry leaders or participating in tradeshows and economic development conferences.

nPlusOne Consulting

nPlusOne Consulting is a human resources consulting firm that provides businesses with a measurable, innovative solution to help maximize leadership, communication and teamwork, with the overall goal of increasing company profitability. GBPR utilized its expertise in media relations and building strategic relationships to educate target audiences about nPlusOne’s services and gain third-party support and testimonials. GBPR worked with nPlusOne to hone its messages and identify businesses, industry organizations and select individual companies that could potentially benefit from its services. GBPR drafted introduction letters and facilitated outreach to these groups, arranged for meetings with their leaders and indentified potential speaking opportunities for the firm’s principals. Additionally, GBPR worked with nPlusOne to draft byline articles on specific human resources issues, securing placements in influential local business journals and key national industry trade publications.
